CredentialNotFoundException

class CredentialNotFoundException(val credentialId: String, cause: Throwable? = null) : MfaException

Exception thrown when attempting to operate on a credential that does not exist.

This exception is a cross-module exception that applies to all MFA credential types (Push, OATH, etc.). It is thrown when a credential cannot be found in storage, which may occur if:

  • The credential was deleted or removed

  • The credential ID is invalid or corrupted

  • There's a data integrity issue between notification and credential storage

Applications should handle this by prompting the user to re-register the credential or navigate to a credential setup flow.

Parameters

credentialId

The ID of the credential that was not found.

cause
